PURPOSE: A customized transit information system for the transportation disadvantaged is provided to detect the optimal transportation path from the source to the destination and provide the transportation disadvantaged with the current location information and public transportation information. CONSTITUTION: Clients(10-1 to 10-N) requests a transportation service. A service server(3) stores traffic information, which includes route information, transit information, and location information of transportation, and detect the optimal route to the destination. And the service server traces the locations of the clients in real time and provides the clients with the traffic information. Subway systems(20-1 to 20-N) transmit accommodation information and moving route information of the clients to the service server. Each subway system includes a plurality of RFID tags(8-1 to 8-N), smart sticks(7 to 7-N), and a local server(5-1). The smart sticks have an RFID reader and transmit read identification keys to the clients.
