FIELD: physics.;SUBSTANCE: slow varying signal which is picked up in digital form based on Hilbert transform and corresponds to the amplitude of the envelope of that analogue signal is used for measurement. This slowly varying signal can be measured with minimal error also over short time intervals, which in turn enables to measure both the absolute and relative power of said signals over short (instantaneous power) and long time intervals, and also evaluate the nature of change of instantaneous absolute and relative power over these long time intervals.;EFFECT: high accuracy of the digital method of measuring average power of acoustic signals, as well as broader functional capabilities for measuring absolute and relative power of acoustic signals over short and long time intervals.;2 cl, 13 dwg
