FIELD: personal use articles.;SUBSTANCE: method for determining the quality of potatoes involves washing 3-5 potatoes, potato rubbing up on the grater to paste. Next, potato juice is separated from the paste, poured into a flat vessel, a filter paper is immersed in it and left for 10-15 minutes. Then the filter paper is removed, placed on glass and dried. After that it is removed from the glass and the reflection coefficient of the filter paper stained with juice is measured. The measurement is carried out in different parts of the paper with a blue colour filter photometre. The arithmetic mean of ten measurements of the reflection coefficient is calculated. Varieties of potatoes, which juice has a reflection coefficient of more than 45% are suitable for processing into starch.
