The device has a process controller for controlling a signaling unit (31) so as to trigger a signaling state as a calculation function that takes account of free parking spaces detected by a detection unit. The controller triggers the signaling state indicating ability to park vehicles (50) in a minimum number of the free parking spaces. The detection unit comprises identifying units for identifying the vehicles. The controller allows dynamic allocation of minimum number of the free parking spaces to the identified vehicles. An independent claim is also included for a computer program comprising a set of instructions for operating a process controller to determine a minimum number of the free parking spaces.
