The unit (1) has a conveying medium (11) e.g. transport line, for transporting subject matters (13) from an intake port (10) to a discharge port (14). A drying apparatus (12) is designed to blow off the media objects transported on the conveying medium. A vibration device comprises multiple vibration generators (15), where each vibration generator is designed to generate vibrations/oscillations of the objects transported in the drying apparatus. The conveying medium is passed through the drying apparatus. A control unit controls amplitude and frequency of the vibration generators. An independent claim is also included for a method for drying subject matters on a conveying medium.
