The pack (110) has rechargeable battery cells arranged in a rechargeable battery housing (111). A filter element (194) is arranged at an aperture (192) formed at a ventilation of the rechargeable battery cells to prevent entry of dirt particles into the rechargeable battery housing. The filter element of the rechargeable battery housing is cleaned by blowing the filter element with an assigned airflow. The battery housing includes another aperture (195) provided by introduction of the assigned airflow into the battery housing. The airflow is a jerkypulse airflow.
