The vehicle steering device (100) comprises a torque limiting unit, which has a rotatably mounted primary steering system portion (102) and a secondary steering system portion (106). The primary steering system portion stands in connection with the secondary steering system portion by a spring-elastic element (104) in a form-fit manner. The spring-elastic element is dimensioned, such that the form-fitting between the two steering system portions is maintained for reaching the torque limit value.
