The aquiferous domestic appliance (GS), particularly dishwasher, has a time detection unit for detecting a time period for pumping process of liquid quantity, which is activated if a drain pump (LP) is operated in a selected mode of operation. An evaluation unit is provided to determine a predetermined rotational speed of the drain pump. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating an aquiferous domestic appliance, particularly a dishwasher.
