The rim brake has hydraulic brake units (2, 2') comprising a hydraulic diaphragm brake that is arranged between an inner side of a fork tube of a wheel fork (1) and a braking surface of a rim (5) of a wheel (20). The rim braking surface is extended upto height of the brake units. The brake units are self-contained, and comprise a single input for hydraulic braking fluid. The diaphragm brake is formed of one or more series-connected membranes that are made of metal, plastic, fiber reinforced material, resin, carbon and fabric.
