The method involves determining a first component (M1) of actuating torque (u) for a drive unit by a controller (11) depending on rotation speed difference (deltan) between actual rotation speed (n-ist) and target rotation speed (n-soll) of the drive unit. The first component is charged with a second component (M2) of the actuating torque, where the second component is determined by a state feedback (12). The first component is charged with a third component (M3) of the actuating torque by disturbance variable compensation. An independent claim is also included for a transmission control device.
