The hydrostatic slide bearing has bearing inner component (2) which is mounted in bearing outer component (3) via hydrostatic support elements (6). Each support element includes pocket element (7) with pocket pressure to form hydrostatic seal gap. The circumferential surfaces (10,11) of bearing inner and outer components are at preset distance in unloaded state. The support elements are designed as plates which are incorporated into bearing outer component, such that plates are sorted based on the thickness of the plates.
