The film has a weather-proof adhesive, and a sealing of diffused pollutants in masonry i.e. concrete, based on a diffusion depth (d) of pollutant. A film made of metal i.e. aluminum, includes a thickness of 50 to 200 micrometers. A metal film with a bothsided coating of thermoplastic includes a thickness of 20 to 80 micrometers. Another metal film with a one-sided, permanent adhesive layer includes a thickness of 0.5 to 4 mm. An adhesive layer adheres on metals, the concrete, plastering or wood. Widths of the metal films are matched with the diffusion depth. An independent claim is also included for a method for sealing primary and secondary pollutant sources in buildings.
