The device (1) has a laundry transporting device (7) for transporting laundry into and/or out of a laundry container (2) i.e. roll container. A control unit (13) controls the laundry transporting device. The laundry transporting device includes a gripping arm (8) for gripping the laundry. Legs (9, 10) of the gripping arm are connected with each other by a hinge or a joint (11) and moved relative to each other around two axes. The container includes two separate laundry receiving regions (3-6), which are provided for filling with the laundry. An independent claim is also included for a laundry treatment device.
