The method involves detecting, moving and releasing a receiving device (14), and moving a stack of folded laundry items on a thin base (23) of the receiving device or moving the base below the stack of folded laundry items. The base of the receiving device is opened in a center. The base is formed from two thin elastic plates (17) extending over maximum half of a lower side of the stack of folded laundry items. The lower side of the stack of folded laundry items and the base of the receiving device are slightly inclined to each other. An independent claim is also included for a device for transporting stack of folded textile items.
