The probe (1) has a transparent radiation guide body (4) that is arranged in a housing (2). The guide body comprises two approximately parallel end faces (5, 6). A coupling light guide (3) is utilized for coupling optical radiation in the guide body and an uncoupling light guide (10) for decoupling of optical radiation that is totally reflected at one of end faces from the guide body. The optical radiation is coupled such that an angle (alpha) of approximately 40 to 60 degrees with regard to an optical axis is formed. The angle is formed perpendicular to the end face of the body.
