The device has an optical wave guide (4) that is coupled to a radiation source (6) and comprising a light emitting area (5), where the optical wave guide is made from amorphous material. The area is positioned at a desired position (2) of a surface (3) for emitting optically recognizable radiation to the desired position of the surface, where the radiation is emitted in different spatial directions. The area is designed in a hemispherical-shape and arranged at a distance from the end of the optical wave guide. An independent claim is also included for a method for visualization of positions on a surface.
