The air bag module housing (1) has two housing sections, where the former housing section has a base portion (21), from which a wall portion (22) is stucked in an oblique or perpendicular manner. A locking element (5) is oriented perpendicular to the wall portion, and a locking opening (6) is formed in the latter housing section. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing an air bag module housing.
