The heating device (1) has a control unit (4), a switching device (5) and a heating circuit (7) in which a heater (3) and a heat accumulator (2) are arranged. The heating circuit is controlled by the control unit, and temperature of the heat accumulator is sensed by a temperature sensor (20). The switching unit is switchable to stationary heating mode. The inactive heater is set to heating mode and the heat accumulator and heating circuit are controlled such that temperature of the heater falls below the minimum temperature of temperature sensor.
