The process for drilling a part (2) intended to equip a jet engine that is positioned in a drill head (3) to drill the part, comprises drilling an area of the part using the drill head, controlling a condition of the drilling, adjusting parameters of the drilling, and determining a permeability of the drill while controlling the condition of the drilling. The drill head includes a laser drill head and an electrical discharge machining drill head, and is fixed to a control device (4). The movement of the drill head and the control device and the drilling and verifying steps are automated. An independent claim is included for a system for drilling a part intended to equip a jet engine.
