The system (1) has a foot brake pedal (2) comprising an arm (4) that is articulated on a support (8). The brake pedal is provided with a pedal rod (10) to receive control pressure. A gas cylinder (22) and a spring (38) are arranged between the arm and the support. The spring delivers constant effort based on displacement of the pedal rod, and another spring delivers an effort along a continuously increasing curve based on the displacement.
