The method involves detecting pressure rise time (52-56) of oil by an oil pressure sensor in downstream of an oil filter. The pressure rise time of the oil is compared with reference time. Realization of oil discharge is detected when the pressure rise time of the oil is higher than the reference time. A supply pump of the oil filter and the oil pressure sensor are provided in an oil circuit. The reference time is selected from last oil pressure rise time, average time on predetermined number of starting of an engine, and nominal rise time corrected according to oil temperature.
