The device has an electroluminescence sheet utilized for providing self-lighting of a registration number plate of a car. The sheet is coated with an adhesive (6) e.g. single or double-sided adhesive, on which alphanumeric characters (16) are printed. The sheet is provided with variable thickness of about 0.3-1 mm according to its surface. A territorial identifier (15) is provided on an extreme right-hand side of the sheet. The adhesive is provided on a frame (10).
