The device (1) has an elongate partition strip (3) for ensuring separation between two layers (7, 8) in surrounding areas. The partition strip is connected by one of its longitudinal edges to a longitudinal line of a face of an elongate sole plate (2) to form two sole portions on each of which a surface of a respective material layer is intended to be applied. The sole plate includes a fastener i.e. screw, for attachment to a seat surface (9) or a support. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a delimitation device.
