The wiper blade has a deflector (27) whose height is variable according to the angular position of the wiper blade at the time of operation of the wiper blade on a windscreen of a vehicle. The height of the deflector is varied when the wiper blade is in a high limit position, and the height of the deflector is reduced when the wiper blade is in a halfway position on the windscreen. The height of the deflector is varied by wind pressure generated by movement of the vehicle.
