The gyroscope (1) has a cylindrical resonator (3) comprising a cylindrical body terminated by a face (5). The resonator vibrates in a vibrating mode with a set of antinodes distributed over a set of axes, and in another vibrating mode with another set of antinodes distributed over another set of axes. The face of the resonator has two piezoelectric sets (Ei) arranged on each axis of the vibrating modes. Each piezoelectric set has a polarized piezoelectric element (23) that excites the resonator to vibrate, and another polarized piezoelectric element (24) to detect vibrations of the resonator. An independent claim is also included for a processing method for a vibrating gyroscope.
