PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric vibrating piece capable of realizing proper vibration by suppressing the vertical movement of vibrating arms without causing an increase in a CI value to ensure rigidity over the whole length of the vibrating arms, and to provide a piezoelectric device employing this piezoelectric vibrating piece.;SOLUTION: The piezoelectric vibrating piece is provided with a pair of vibrating arms 34, 35 which are formed of a piezoelectric material and extend in parallel from a base 51; bottomed grooves 44, 44 which are each provided on each of the vibrating arms and extend in a longitudinal direction of each of the vibrating arms; and supporting portions 45, 45 which are provided so as to cross the grooves in the widthwise direction and integrally couple the material forming the vibrating arms separated in the widthwise direction by the grooves.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
