The device (D) has an atomizer (MN) for producing very small droplets from liquid, and a blower (MP) for generating flow of air. A main duct (CP) channels a part of the generated air flow and resultant droplets to an outlet (SD) connected with a chamber. A diffuser diffuses a volatile product e.g. perfume, in the main duct so as to be driven to the output by the generated air flow, and a control unit (MCD) is arranged to authorize or prohibit the production of the droplets by the atomizer according to received instruction. An independent claim is also included for a method for treating air in an enclosure.
