The diffuser has a diffusion duct (30) placed between two articulated parts (21, 22) of a closure flap and a passenger compartment of a vehicle. The flap occupies, through rotation of the articulated parts, a closed position for closing an air duct (10) to stop entire air flow, or a directional diffusion position for opening the air duct to allow direct flow of air towards the diffusion duct and the compartment. The flap occupies an intermediate diffusion position to open the air duct and deflect the entire air flow before the air passes through the diffusion duct.
