This method of optimizing the quality of a cellular network comprises at least one iteration (IT), each iteration comprising: a step (E20) for estimating at least one indicator (IP (j, p)); local performance at a plurality of points (j) of the network as a function of parameters (p) of the network; a step (E40) of estimating an overall quality level (QGR (p)) of the network for said parameters (p), based on the estimate (E30) of a local quality level (QL ( j, p)) in each of the points (j), for the parameters (p), the local quality levels (QL (j, p)) exclusively dependent on the local performance indicators (IP (j, p)); the parameters (p) being modified (E10) as long as the said overall quality level (QGR (p)) can be improved (E70); and a step (E80) for storing the parameters (p) corresponding to the optimal global quality level.
