PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode set for evaluation, enabling evaluation of a heat resistance property from a standpoint to see whether or not a separator can prevent a thermal runaway in heat resistance evaluation of the separator for a lithium ion secondary battery without performing a complicated operation such as assembly of a lithium ion secondary battery, and to provide a heat resistance evaluation method using the electrode set.SOLUTION: An electrode set for evaluating heat resistance of a separator for a lithium ion secondary battery includes: two thin flat electrodes sandwiching the separator; two elastic plates sandwiching the two thin flat electrodes; two hard members sandwiching the two elastic plates. A heat resistance evaluation method includes: applying electric voltage between the thin flat electrodes of the electrode set for evaluating heat resistance; and measuring a time change of electric power.
