PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode set for evaluation which is capable of evaluating a heat resistance from the viewpoint of whether a separator can stop thermal runaway without performing cumbersome work such as assembling of a lithium ion secondary battery during a heat resistance evaluation of the separator for a lithium ion secondary battery, and a method for heat resistance evaluation using the electrode set.SOLUTION: An electrode set for heat resistance evaluation of a separator for a lithium ion secondary battery consists of two elastic electrodes and two metal electrodes of which areas of contact surfaces with the elastic electrodes are different, and the metal electrode with the smaller area has an approximate cylindrical shape.
