PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preprocessing method capable of accurately, quickly, and easily extracting and refining nivalenol and deoxynivalenol present in trace amounts in a sample.SOLUTION: A sample solution obtained by preprocessing includes: picking a sample into a centrifuge tube; sufficiently swelling the sample by addition of water; extracting the sample by shaking with acetone; adding an adsorbent for pigment removal and a salting-out agent to a supernatant after centrifugation to shake and centrifuge the supernatant again; hardening the supernatant by drying; dissolving the hardened supernatant again with a hexane-acetone mixture solvent; dipping the dissolved supernatant in a solid phase extraction cartridge filled with a solid phase extraction agent having a weakly ionizable amphoteric ion functional group to capture nivalenol and deoxynivalenol; cleaning the solid phase extraction cartridge with a proper cleaning liquid; and eluting the captured nivalenol and deoxynivalenol in water. The sample solution is measured and quantified using a fast liquid chromatography UV absorbance detection method.
