PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a downstream port control device capable of parallel controlling communications based on a plurality of standards, a controller, a method of controlling a downstream port, and a downstream port control program.SOLUTION: When being electrically cut off from a device 600, a low power control unit 102 of a downstream port control device 100 causes a first control unit 101 to stop a periodical trial run for a mutual detection in compliance with the first communication standard. When being electrically connected to the device and a second control unit 102 receives a connection request based on the second communication standard from the device 600, the low power control unit 102 electrically cuts off and reconnects the device, and restarts the mutual detection.
