PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method for rice finished goods in which softness is maintained and foods, as well as low temperature gelatinizing mutant rice which is easy to gelatinize and difficult to age.SOLUTION: A production method for low temperature gelatinizing mutant rice includes a process for mutating abruptly no-drought wisdom D and a process for selecting low temperature gelatinizing mutant rice using an urea solution. Following the process for selecting the low temperature gelatinizing mutant rice, the method includes a process for breeding the low temperature gelatinizing mutant rice and glutinous rice, a process for selecting a glutinous individual from the Fgeneration individual of mating future generations, and a process for selecting an easily gelatinizing individual by detecting a mutation in a core promoter region of a starch branch attachment enzyme I gene of a sixth chromosome contained in samples of a glutinous individual origin. The method further includes a process for letting DNA in samples of a glutinous individual origin as a mold to select easily gelatinizing individuals by using at least one of among HvSSR11-27 marker and HvSSR11-28 marker and at least one of among HvSSR11-48 marker and HvSSR11-50 marker.
