PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a social network service providing system and method for setting relationship between users by using motion of mobile terminals, and distance set by the users.SOLUTION: A social network service providing system comprises: a request reception unit for receiving a request generated in accordance with motion of a mobile terminal, from the mobile terminal; an information providing unit for providing location information of the mobile terminal and distance information set by a user of the mobile terminal; a mobile terminal identifying unit for identifying at least one other mobile terminal on the basis of the location information and the distance information; and a user information providing unit for providing information related to a user of the other mobile terminal.
