PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a premium reader 11 capable of extracting premiums G from a housing part 42 for the number suitable for the operation of the premiums G after processing.;SOLUTION: The premiums G delivered one by one from a delivery part 13 to a carrying path 15 are identified in an identification part 17, and the premiums G are distributed for respective kinds in a distribution means 43 on the basis of an identified result. The premiums G distributed in the distribution means 43 are accumulated and housed inside the housing part 42. The premiums G housed in the housing part 42 are taken out and housed in a premium housing case, and they are divided by a prescribed housing unit number each and housed in the premium housing case. The number of the premiums G to be housed in the housing part 42 is set to the same set number as the housing unit number of the premium housing case. When the housing number of the premiums G housed in the housing part 42 reaches the set number set beforehand, processing is stopped.
