PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ferritic stainless steel which is excellent in thermal fatigue properties, high temperature fatigue properties and oxidation resistance, and further has excellent toughness, without using Mo and W and further without causing deteriorating in oxidation resistance due to addition of Cu.;SOLUTION: The ferritic stainless steel comprises, by mass%, ≤0.015% C, ≤0.5% Si, ≤0.35% Mn, ≤0.040% P, ≤0.010% S, ≤0.1% Al, 16 to 18.5% Cr, 0.8 to 1.6% Cu, 0.015 to 0.030% N, 0.015 to 0.35% V, Nb:10×(C+N) to 0.50%, ≤0.01% Ti, ≤0.01% Zr, ≤0.01% Ta, ≤0.4% Ni, ≤0.1% Mo and ≤0.1% W, wherein the product (V×N) of the V content and the N content, satisfies 0.003 to 0.008, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
