PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress dispersion of centerline segregation in the width direction of a cast slab.;SOLUTION: A plurality of rolls are juxtaposed in the casting direction in a second section from a roll stand immediately below a mold to a roll stand arranged at the position where the meniscus distance is 15 m. When, at the position in the width direction of a cast slab, the ratio of the number of rolls where a bearing housing is present in the position of its width direction to the entire number of the rolls is defined as the bearing housing ratio R, the specific water amount in the width direction range of the second section of 0≤R≤0.2 is expressed by W_A[L/kg-steel], the specific water amount in the width direction range of the second section of 0.2≤R≤1 is expressed by Wb[L/kg-steel], and the bearing housing ratio R is expressed as R_B, the expression of 0.5≤W_A≤1.5 is satisfied, and the expression (1): 1.21R_B+0.76≤W_B/W_A≤2.61R_B+1.16, is also satisfied.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
