1 .Introduction Macro-segregation is induced by the solute redistributionnear the solidification interface and it is affected by thefluid flow in the mushy zone. Centerline segregation oftenformed in continuous casting strands along the castingdirection, so the property uniformity of products isseverely destroyed.
