PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner comprising a human detecting device having a wide range of visual field and high light collecting efficiency without degrading design and dust-proof performance of an indoor machine main body. PSOLUTION: In this air conditioner controlling its operation by detecting presence or absence of a human by a human detecting sensor disposed in the indoor machine main body 10, a plurality of sensor units 32, 33, 34, 35, 36 respectively provided with an infrared ray detecting sensor 33c and a lens 33b on a circuit board 33a are disposed in the indoor machine, the sensor units 32, 33, 34, 35, 36 are covered by a cover 38, at least a surface through which the infrared ray passes, of the cover 38 is thinned, and the other part is thickened, thus the air conditioner comprising the human detecting device having the wide range of visual field and high light collecting efficiency, can be provided without degrading design and dust-proof performance and protection performance of the indoor machine main body.
