PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems such as safety troubles, lipid contamination, lengthening the required time of a process and exclusive use of a crusher before extraction, although an extraction method by organic solvent is utilized so that active components existing in hard husks like astaxanthin is taken out with a sufficient yield.;SOLUTION: Crushing of the husks and extraction of active components are carried out in one step by making objects to be treated into contact with subcritical water. When astaxanthin is extracted from haematococcus algae, astaxanthin can be extracted with critically sufficient yield by bringing the subcritical water into contact with the algae at 210-220°C and under 5-6 MPa.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
