PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To draw a distribution range of data points in a scatter diagram of a plurality of data having two paired variables, in a way different from that for a probability ellipse. PSOLUTION: A plurality of data having two paired variables are selected. A plurality of arbitrary points are set on a scatter diagram of the data. For each arbitrary point thus set, a data point most distant from the arbitrary point is determined, and the data points are employed as representative points of data point distribution.
