PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To draw a distribution range of data points in a scatter diagram of a plurality of data having two paired variables, in a way different from that for a probability ellipse. PSOLUTION: A plurality of data having two paired variables are selected. A plurality of arbitrary directions are defined on a scatter diagram of the data. For each of the arbitrary directions, a data point having the maximum vector component in the direction is selected as a representative point of data point distribution.
