PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear loading type short-stroke extruding press, which supplies a billet between a stem and a container and attains space saving by reducing a machine length, and of which the productivity is improved by reducing idle time. PSOLUTION: A shearing machine is composed as follows: a shearing cylinder and a shearing guide, which is freely turnable in a die direction and an anti-die direction, are attached in a downward direction to a fixed frame arranged in the side of a container of an end platen, which holds a die; a shearing slide, at the upper end of which a piston rod of the shearing cylinder is pivotally supported, and to the lower end of which a shearing edge is attached, is made freely slidable in the shearing guide; and the shearing guide is deformed at a curvature different from that of the fixed frame when cutting off a discard.
