PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent device having high light-emission efficiency and high drive stability. PSOLUTION: The positive hole transporting material is represented by the general formula (I). General formula (I) where RSP1/SPto RSP7/SPeach represent a hydrogen atom, a group directly bonded to a linking group ZSP1/SP, or a monovalent group, and at least one ASP1/SPrepresents a bridging group.
