Relates to a method for stabilizing the radium present in the radium-containing waste solution. The mixed metal chloride and waste, then reacted with a sulfate ion resulting mixture, the method obtains a waste containing radium stabilized. Chloride may be a lead chloride barium chloride, or strontium chloride. Sulfate ions may be provided by adding soluble sulfate salt of sulfuric acid, anhydrous, or soluble sulfate. In particular, this method is applied to the processing metallurgy, or derived from the processing of uranium-containing mineral or chemical of zirconium, of waste containing suspended solids or solid waste containing radium.
