PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal plate coating resin composition, which has good adhesion and impact resistance and can keep the original adhesion and impact resistance even after application of heat treatment by baking, printing and the like, a resin film, a resin-coated metal plate, and a resin-coated metal container.;SOLUTION: The metal coating resin composition comprises a polyester resin (A), a rubbery elastic solid resin (B), and a vinyl polymer (C) containing 1 mass% or more of a unit having a polar group. The polyester resin (A) with intrinsic viscosity of 0.5-1.25 dl/g contains a flexural unit.
