PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screening method of a blood pressure regulator paying attention to the concentration of BPs in the blood by clarifying the relationship between a blood pressure value and the amount of BPs in the blood; and an evaluation method.;SOLUTION: This screening method includes processes of: administering a candidate substance to a model animal excluding a human; and measuring the concentration of dihydrobiopterin in the blood of the model animal. When the concentration of dihydrobiopterin is increased by the candidate substance, it is determined that the candidate substance has blood pressure elevating effect and, when the concentration of dihydrobiopterin is decreased by the candidate substance, it is determined that the candidate substance has blood pressure lowering effect.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
