PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-quality color filter for transflective liquid crystal display device which has high-luminance colored layer formed in a reflection light region and, when being used for a transflective liquid crystal display device, does not disturb alignment of liquid crystal.;SOLUTION: The color filter for transflective liquid crystal display device comprises: a transparent substrate; a transparent resin layer formed on the transparent substrate in a pattern shape; a colored layer formed so as to cover the transparent substrate and transparent resin layer; and light shielding parts which are formed on the transparent substrate and demarcate pixel parts, wherein a region in which the transparent substrate, the transparent resin layer and the colored layer are stacked is used as the reflection light region, and a region in which the transparent substrate and the colored layer are stacked is used as a transmission light region. The color filter for transflective liquid crystal display device is characterized in that the transparent resin layer is continuously formed over a plurality of pixel parts demarcated by the light shielding parts on the reflection light region and has recessed parts on regions where the light shielding parts are formed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
