PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a highly accurate pulse rate immediately after starting to measure the pulse rate. PSOLUTION: A pulse rate measuring unit 2 of an electronic apparatus 1 measures user's current pulse rate. For instance, a change in blood flow is acquired from light passing through the user's fingertip, and the pulse rate of the user is measured on the basis of it. A pulse rate memory unit 3 has previously stored user's previous pulse rate. After starting the measurement of the user's pulse rate, a pulse rate calculator 4 calculates the user's pulse rate while changing a ratio of the user's current pulse rate measured by the pulse rate measuring unit 2 to the user's previous pulse rate stored in the pulse rate memory unit 3. The user's pulse rate calculated by the pulse rate calculator 4 is displayed on a display device as the pulse rate of the user. PCOPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
